The Power In Our Words

So let me start this blog by stating one of the most powerful scriptures in the bible, Proverbs 8:21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Do you realize we speak things into existence? God spoke the world, and every aspect of it, into existence. For instance, God said, “let there be light” and there was light. You and I hold that same power by using our tongues to speak, whether it is good or bad.

Some people will equate this to positive or negative thinking and in some respect that is correct. Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

Positive thinking automatically gives us a head start on a great day. But have you ever thought about when we speak? How many times have you found yourself saying, “This day has started out badly, I can only imagine how the rest of the day is going to go.” We already projected out the rest of the day by speaking negativity over it. Do you realize it’s just as easy to speak positive thoughts as it is negative and yet we hear so much more about how bad things are or are going to be than we do how good they are or will be? I personally feel that if we make a conscientious effort to think positive thoughts and speak positive words over our lives, we will experience a change that will make a huge difference in our lives.

Talk kindly to your children. Consistently speak over their lives words of inspiration, encouragement, kindness and positivity. Watch your children blossom and grow in confidence as they see and experience the difference in implementing these two very positive scriptures into their daily lives.

Watch your co-workers become more harmonious as you constantly practice positivity in your work life. Offer words of encouragement and praise and watch the atmosphere change! Positive relationships, personal and work, make our lives much more fulfilling and productive.

So for others, but mostly for yourself, change your life by remembering that the power of our tongue, our words are life and death and that our thoughts should always be positive because as we think in our hearts, we will become it. As you change, you will change everything around you!

God gave us a roadmap, be sure to read it!
