Thinking about planting trees for your yard? Now is an ideal time, as all the hard gardening work of spring and the upkeep of summer will slow down. It's the best time for the tree as well. The combination of warm soil and cool air stimulates root growth to help your tree or shrub get established before the ground freezes. Most trees are sold now in containers or with root balls, where the root and soil is wrapped in burlap (often called "balled-and-burlapped"). Planting them is easy when you have a team of experts!

Do you want to improve your property’s curb appeal? Tree planting is one of the easiest and most esthetically pleasing ways to beautify your home’s look. Trees also provide shade to keep your home cooler to help reduce energy bills. These improvements will increase property value as well.

Sometimes deciding what trees to buy can be a chore. The selection should be thought out for placement for the best spot. Keep in mind your climate, hardiness, space, soil, local pests and diseases before you shop! If you are interested in slow or fast growing trees, fruit bearing trees or flowering trees you’ll also need to understand the types of trees they are and plant accordingly to the best locations.

Most new trees will benefit from mulch, which helps conserve moisture in the soil. Use a bark-based mulch layer 3 inches of mulch on top of the soil, leaving about 1 to 2 inches of space around the trunk to prevent disease. Depending on what tree you choose make sure you follow fertilizing and watering directions. We not only will plant trees, but you can have us scheduled to maintain and inspect them each season to be sure they are healthy and growing nicely with preventatives to ward off pests.
