Get out there and enjoy nature!

The weekends are getting warmer and the camping bug might be nipping at you, if it is, get your tent or RV ready and hit the road!

Camping has a way of taking you far away from reality. Whether really far away from home or not far at all, you’ll feel a thousand miles away from all the everyday “stuff” when you’re out there among the trees, nature and fellow campers! There’s nothing quite like cooking  a pot of beans or soup over an open fire or making campfire pies or s’mores at the end of a day of hiking, biking, swimming or just relaxing. The stories around a campfire are somehow more interesting, especially if it’s at 1:00 a.m. and you just don’t want to “call it a night.” What could be better than falling asleep in your lounge chair listening to the crackling fire and chirping peepers!

Every campground holds a new journey! Anywhere you camp, you make new friends, it’s guaranteed! Your children make friends they may never see again, but will always remember. Of course, you talk about your “rig” or the great features of your tent, what’s for supper or how far you drove to get there. Board games become a favorite thing to do. A friendly game of horseshoes is in order or perhaps a great round of your favorite card game. Let’s face it; you would never do all this if you stayed home.
