Dog Days of Summer

Normally, August proves to be a hot, humid and dry month for Ohio. It’s a good time to make sure you have the proper amount of mulch around your trees. Not only does mulch add curb appeal, but it also protects trees.  Surround your tree bases with mulch around 1 to 3 inches deep to conserve moisture and keep it cool for your tree’s roots. One thing to remember, however, is not to place the mulch closer than 2 to 3 inches from the trunk because it can cause rotting.

It’s that time again

August also signals the start to a new school year. Please practice extra safety on the roadways and around school areas.

Mowing should change this time of year

It is a good practice to mow the lawn ½ inch higher, to keep the roots cool.

Just for fun

How hot is a Los Angeles summer?
So hot that I saw a fire hydrant chasing a pack of dogs!

There’s still plenty of summer left, ENJOY!!
