Bahrain is an island located off the coast of Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf. Its’ landscape is 92% desert and summer temperatures reach 122 degrees Fahrenheit with an average of only 2.83 inches of rain in the winter. Why am I telling you this? In the desert land stands a single tree, healthy and growing. It has been appropriately dubbed the Tree of Life. The mesquite tree sits atop a 25-foot hill in the desert miles away from water or other trees. This is a remarkable feat for this survivor of a tree and shows us the vast power of nature.
