This time of year, my backyard goes to the birds…literally! When bugs, seeds and berries become scarce or non-existent, it’s time to get the bird feeders out and take care of our feathered friends.

Many types of birds stay with us all winter and during the harsh season they will depend on us to help them sustain life. Be careful to fill your feeder with good things that attract all types of birds. Sunflower seeds, peanuts, bits of dried fruit, milo and millet.
